Water, flora and fauna

The installation stands for different elements of the system of the salt flats: the water (blue planes), the flora (green planes) and the fauna (pink planes). Through three hyperbolic paraboloid planes parallel to one another, with these colours we set out to reflect the balance of the salt flats’ ecosystem.

The salt cubes, at the intersection

To complete the balance, at the intersection between those planes sit the salt cubes, which identify the element itself, the presence of the salt industry and the hand of man in the cubes’ extra dimension with respect to the planes.

Salt as the link

The balance of these salt cubes between the planes of the different elements shows the capacity of salt as a link, influencing them all and providing the final balance of the salt flats system.
